What are your hours & where are you located?

The Desert Door Distillery is located just south of Austin at 211 Darden Hill Rd., Driftwood, TX 78619

Monday - Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Are dogs allowed?

Yep! Well-behaved dogs on-leash are welcome in the tasting room and patio areas. We cannot, however, allow dogs on our tours of the back production space, so be sure to leave Bingo at home if you are visiting for a Distillery Tour.

Can I purchase a bottle to take home?

Please do! Our Cargo Shop, just behind the Tasting Room, offers bottle purchases including our Original, Oak-aged and specialty Conservation and Explorer Series releases, as well as an array of merchandise like apparel, accessories and bar ware. Please note: due to TABC restrictions we can only sell 3 bottles per customer per month, and we cannot sell any bottles on Sundays.

Is there food available at the distillery?

Only the most delicious food truck this side of the Sabine River! Lo Salvaje (loose translation, ‘The Wild’) was born from a desire to bring locally sourced ingredients and wild-game-inspired fare to a broader audience. The menu at Lo Salvaje is deliciously inventive to say the least - it’s street tacos meets haute cuisine with a wild game flair. Helmed by Chef Stephanie Stackhouse and co-owned by Chef Jesse Griffiths and Josh Crumpton, Lo Salvaje is open Thursday 3-8 pm, Friday & Saturday 12-8 pm,and Sunday 12-6 pm.

Are kids allowed at the Distillery?

Yes! While we don’t have any kid-focused activities or too much space to run free, we of course welcome the whole family.

Can I take a tour?

Absolutely! We love showing people around our facility and teaching them about our unique process. Tours are about 40 minutes long, and available on Saturdays and Sundays. We charge $25 per person and the tour includes tastings of our Oak-aged and Original Texas Sotol, as well as the nectar direct from the sotol plant.

Do you ship bottles out of state?

Unfortunately we cannot ship out of state. We are currently distributed in TX, CO, GA, TN, LA, FL, NM, AZ, KS, MO, SC, CA, OK and AK and Desert Door is available at retailers in each of these states. Check out our locate page to find a bottle of Desert Door near you! If you are outside of this distribution you can always ask your favorite retailer to special order Desert Door.

When do you have live music in the tasting room?

We generally have Live Music every Thursday through Sunday, but check out our full calendar for dates, times and acts.
